Following the publishing of results by Epsom College and St. Johns, we are delighted to announce record scores for this year's Sixth Form.
Of the 140 examinations sat, 66% of grades awarded were As and Bs, a new high for Chinthurst School. Tom Wishart (St. John's) and George Hancock (Epsom College) both performed to an astonishingly high level, each securing 8 'A' grades. A further 13 boys also gained As in at least one subject. There were triumphs for individual subjects as well, with scores in English, Maths, Biology, Geography and Spanish the highest they have been for at least four years.
Congratulations to pupils and teachers alike!

An ice cream treat and then it was time for home.
When we returned to School the Remove boys wrote the following acrostic poem:
Box Hill
Brilliant Views,
Outstanding nature,
XXX equals excellent.
High in the sky,
Insects fly,
Laughter and fun,
Licking lovely lollies.

Thursday 27th May 2010. (6-00 pm.)
Each year the school holds a presentation to celebrate the boy's successes on the rugby field. This is aimed at all the boys and not just those who featured in the "A" teams. The strength of any rugby team is reflected in the depth of its squad to which end we are delighted to see so many boys representing the school.
Please note that we have delayed the evening by one week to Thursday 27th May to aid the senior boys with their examination preparation.
The evening involves an informal buffet starting at 6-00 pm. with speeches and prizes commencing at 6-30 pm. Proceedings should be over by 7-30 pm.
All boys and parents are invited to attend; we look forward to seeing you.
