Achievements in Art

Art club
The Art Department is enthusiastic and passionate about the subject, the pupils work hard and are encouraged and inspired to try exciting projects in 2D and 3D.
From making clay faces to adorning and decorating furniture, we are always showing children the importance of being imaginative and creative in their thinking.
There is the great opportunity of joining the Scholarship Art Group, in which pupils produce a portfolio of work to show off their talents in all areas of Art. We have gained 2 Art scholarships to leading Public Schools in recent years and many students prepare an Art portfolio in support of their All-Rounder Scholarship applications.
The pupils are given the opportunity of different Art trips and workshops, in the last year we have studied styles of paintings at The National Portrait Gallery, built sculptures at Kew Gardens after visiting the Henry Moore Sculptures and visited Tate Britain to view the paintings based on war artists.
Pupils' work is displayed throughout the school, in celebration of their efforts, including sculptures using a range of techniques such as wire modelling.
