The Admissions Process
Visiting the School – the first step
Visitors often comment on the wonderful atmosphere at Chinthurst and how engaged and happy our children are. I would be delighted to give you a private or group tour at a time convenient to you so you can experience this for yourself and meet with the Headteacher, Cathy Trundle.
If you would prefer to attend our Autumn Working Open Morning on Friday 27th September, please do let me know or register your details here.

Tour of the School – what to expect
Private Tour – I would be very happy to give you a tour of the school at a time convenient to you. It will be an opportunity to see the school at work and talk to staff and pupils. At the end of the tour, Cathy Trundle, Headteacher, will meet with you to answer any further questions you may have and discuss your family’s requirements.
Group Tour – 1st Friday of the month
Our pupils are our best ambassadors and we would like to invite you to attend our Friday assembly in advance of a tour so you can see them in action. Please do email me for further details
Open Morning – 10:30 Friday 27 September
Our Open Mornings are an opportunity to tour the school in small groups during a working morning. Afterwards Headteacher, Cathy Trundle and other members of the Senior Leadership team will be very happy to chat to you over coffee in the Library.
Our main entry points are:
Little Chicks, Kindergarten and Reception (Early Years)
Children enter Little Chicks from 2 1/2 years old, Kindergarten in the September before their 4th birthday or Reception in the September before their 5th birthday.
Upon receipt of a completed registration form (see below), a taster/assessment day will be arranged. Following this, an offer of a place will be based upon the appropriateness of the school for your child by agreement between the school and parents.
Please see our Admissions Policy for further details.
However, we are very happy to welcome children into all year groups if we have spaces.
Registration for all age groups
Once you have visited us, you can register your child for a place by completing the online Registration Form via Open Apply. (log in details will be supplied to you during your visit). To register there is a non-refundable fee of £100.
Once registered, we will invite your child to visit us for a taster morning/day and we also offer older children the opportunity of an assessment with us.
