Upper School

'Upper School children benefit from a curriculum designed to develop intellectual character, analytical skills and creativity to foster a love of learning'.

Upper School includes all pupils from Years 3 to 6 and is based in the Morris House building.  We build upon and develop the work done in Lower School and continue our broad and exciting curriculum to prepare the children for senior school by inspiring them to be confident, independent and creative learners. There is an increase in the number of specialist taught subjects which include French, Spanish, Music, Drama, Art, Design and Technology, ICT, PE and Games.

We welcome a high staff-parent interaction to ensure that each pupil is happy and reaching their potential. Children are encouraged to be increasingly independent throughout Key Stage 2.

Our small class sizes ensure that every pupil receives individual attention benefitting their academic and social development. We take pride in knowing that every single one of our pupils leaves Chinthurst well prepared for the challenges of senior school and beyond.
