Chinthurst Cricket Academy

Who are we?

Welcome to the third year of The Chinthurst Cricket Academy Programme. The Academy encourages the growth and development of cricket amongst children of all ages and ability and will help develop their ball skills, improve fitness levels, and build confidence through team work while taking part in a fun game of cricket.

The Coaches?

Under the expert guidance of Surrey County Cricket Club Head Performance Coach, Michael Jacobs bringing his uniquely innovative ideas and coaching tips to the Academy. His team of ECB and Surrey Cricket qualified coaches (all DBS checked) are friendly, approachable and love cricket – he also has access to overseas visiting professionals from abroad, bringing an international perspective to the programme.

Who Can Play?

Every session is tailored to the age and experience of the group – from our Mini Hitters learning to bat for the first time (soft ball) to our Cricket Masters – individuals with potential to take up the game more seriously. All players will be developing technical skills through bowling, batting, fielding, wicket keeping and most importantly enjoying the game!

Where is it?

Venue: Chinthurst School. Our onsite facilities include: indoor & outdoor nets, bowling machine to practice batting, an Astro-turf and grounds for Spring & Summer matches. The Academy’s strong cricketing links with County Clubs will give our players access to exciting opportunities to develop their skills further and our traditional link with Tadworth Cricket Club allows us to use their fantastic grounds during the summer months and weekends – the Academy Coaches also coach at Tadworth CC in the summer term too!

One to One Private Coaching

As part of developing your child’s cricket, one to ones are very popular and are provided over the course of the week at lunchtimes and all year round and after school too. Please ask for details and availability of these via email:
