World Book Day 2019
In the run up to World Book Day, the whole school got involved in Drop Everything And Read (DEAR). Each day at different times and without warning, the klaxon sounded and everyone literally dropped everything and read a book for ten minutes. A brilliant idea and one that really caught the imagination of the children.
Then on Thursday, the school was buzzing with excitement for World Book Day. The children all looked fabulous in their costumes and it was interesting to hear why they had chosen their particular book character. The older pupils read with the younger ones and everyone really got into the spirit of their favourite book, illustrating that nothing is more important than reading!
