Jazz hands all round as we celebrate a truly record-breaking achievement from our talented performers. Under the expert guidance of our Head of Drama, Mrs Stricker-Timmermans - affectionately known as Mrs S-T - Chinthurst has enjoyed its most successful year ever for LAMDA results.

In June, an incredible 144 students were entered for their LAMDA drama examinations, with examiners joining us over three weekends to witness their fantastic performances. We are delighted to share that an impressive 93% of students achieved Distinction grades, with the remaining students earning strong Merits - an exceptional outcome and our best results to date!

These achievements reflect the passion, dedication and inspirational teaching of Mrs S-T, whose leadership continues to nurture confidence, creativity and excellence in every child. Her enthusiasm has made a lasting impact, and we could not be prouder of both her and our performers.

As a registered LAMDA examination centre, Chinthurst offers drama lessons for children from Year 1 to Year 6. These sessions prepare pupils for examinations set by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) - one of the UK's oldest and most respected awarding bodies for communication and performance.

LAMDA qualifications help children develop essential life skills such as confidence, communication and self-expression, all while having fun. With graded exams ranging from introductory levels through to Medal Awards (Grades 6–8), older students can even gain valuable UCAS points towards university applications.

Each year, over 100,000 students worldwide take LAMDA exams, and Chinthurst is proud to play its part with a high percentage of pupils signed up for LAMDA lessons in each academic year - a wonderful testament to the programme's success.
