Our Lower School is now blooming with life thanks to the hard work and creativity of Year 4, who spent Thursday morning creating a beautiful living wall as part of a special outdoor learning project.

Guided by the expert green fingers of Andy from our Maintenance team, and supported by a group of fantastic Third Form volunteers from our senior school, Reigate Grammar School, the children carefully planted a vibrant mix of flowering and evergreen plants. From the fragrant rosemary, chives, and lemon balm, to bright begonias, petunias, and pinks, the living wall is already bursting with colour, texture, and scent. For a fun twist, beetroot and chilli plants were added high up to bring an extra dash of colour - and a little heat!

There was even a surprise guest appearance! As the children were planting, a tiny baby toad jumped out of the soil in the wheelbarrow to say hello. He was quickly and affectionately named Ted before Andy gently relocated him to a peaceful, damp corner of the school grounds.

A huge thank you to Andy and the students from RGS for making the project such a success and well done to our budding Year 4 gardeners. We can't wait to watch the wall grow and change through the seasons!
