This week, our brilliant Year 1 stepped into the shoes of superheroes as they embarked on an exciting English-themed mission - and what an adventure it turned out to be!

Their day began with a surprise twist: a note from the mischievous Evil Pea, who had captured Supertato and hidden the rest of the vegetables around the school. To make matters worse, the Evil Pea had been causing trouble for the staff too, Miss Trundle and Scout were dramatically “captured” during their morning SLT meeting!

But nothing could stop our young heroes. Dressed in colourful capes and powered by super muscles and rocket boots, they zoomed into action, scouring the school grounds in search of the missing vegetables. Clues had been scattered everywhere, and the children used their teamwork and detective skills to solve them one by one.

There were plenty of giggles as each vegetable was found in the most unexpected places. A cabbage was discovered in the football goal, a bandaged carrot turned up in the school office, and a pepper was spotted near the flagpole. A poor parsnip had faced a cheesy fate in the dining hall, a leek was tied up in the sandpit, and a cucumber had been amusingly wrapped in toilet paper and left in the toilets!

The final discovery brought them back to the classroom, where Supertato had been waiting safely all along. Alongside him was a final note from the Evil Pea, congratulating them on their successful mission - but warning that he's still on the loose.

Not ones to rest for long, our Year 1 superheroes are already gearing up for the next stage of their mission - where they will design 'Wanted' posters in a bid to track down the runaway villain once and for all!

It was a truly magical day full of laughter, imagination, and a wonderful sense of adventure. Most importantly, it brought learning to life in the most joyful way. Well done, Year 1 - you've made us all proud!
