On Friday, 3 October, the Chinthurst community gathered in the church to celebrate our annual Harvest Festival, an honoured tradition of thanksgiving and gratitude for the food we enjoy.

The service opened with representatives from every class, proudly carrying beautifully decorated boxes filled with donations for the Epsom and Ewell Foodbank. These were presented at the altar to our Head Girl and Head Boy, symbolising generosity and community spirit.

Our Head of Music, Mrs Oldfield, curated a lively programme that showcased the vibrant imagination and teamwork thriving in classrooms this term. Reception set a gentle and warming tone, followed by Year 1's spirited performance of the upbeat Bean Harvest (SY), full of joyful actions and radiant smiles. Year 2 kept the harvest spirit alive with the cheerful and catchy Down, Down To The Allotment (SY).

Year 3 brought a lively, toe-tapping energy to the stage with the country-style song, Harvest Hoedown (SY), while year 4 lifted spirits beautifully with Thank Your Lucky Stars, a touching reminder to appreciate all we have. Year 5 delighted everyone with their iconic Vegetable Rap with Chinthurst flair, complete with their coolest shades and backwards caps. Year 6 concluded the performances with a reflective rendition of When the Seasons Change (SY), celebrating the beauty and cycles of nature.

Throughout the service, the church was filled with a wonderful sense of unity and shared joy as the children sang and celebrated together.

Your kindness, alongside the children's spirited performances, perfectly captured the true spirit of the Harvest Festival and the caring community we cherish at Chinthurst.
