Chinthurst came together today to celebrate Children in Need.

The day began with a heartfelt and humorous assembly led by 4F, who thoughtfully explored the importance of thinking of others and raising money to help children across the UK enjoy brighter, safer futures.

During the assembly, pupils explained the purpose behind Children in Need, sharing how the charity supports young people facing illness, disability, poverty, or loneliness. Their message was clear and powerful: every act of kindness and every donation can make a real difference. Of course, Pudsey Bear made an appearance, drawing big smiles. There was even a cheeky moment as pupils wondered how Pudsey manages to look so young, with a playful suggestion that Mr Beadle might have some tips!

4F went on to share a touching poem, reminding us all of the small, everyday actions that build peace and kindness within our community.

Peace isn't something far away, it lives inside our hearts each day. It's in the words we choose to say, it's in the games we kindly play. When someone's hurt, we stop and care, we show them love, we're simply there. So let's be peaceful, brave, and true, because peace begins with me and you.

As the morning continued, the playground transformed into a sea of spots, yellow, and bear ears as children proudly wore their spotty and Pudsey accessories.
