Chinthurst School’s equestrian team celebrated an outstanding performance at the NSEA Regional Finals, held at Felbridge Showground, with children achieving impressive individual and team results across multiple classes.

Competing with a strong team of four riders and five ponies, the Chinthurst riders demonstrated excellent horsemanship and teamwork throughout the day.

The competition began with the 40cm class, where the team of Emily, Isla and Harriet performed brilliantly. Harriet won the assisted section with the lowest ride score of the class. Emily delivered an excellent round to place 3rd in the lead rein section. Their combined performances earned Chinthurst an exceptional team score, resulting in a fantastic 2nd place team finish.

In the highly competitive 50cm final, Alfred produced a flawless round, while Harriet impressed with a beautiful round to finish 5th. With three ponies placing in the top ten, Chinthurst once again achieved an excellent result, finishing 2nd in the team competition.

The final class of the day, the 60cm against-the-clock competition, proved fast-paced and challenging. Throughout the event, the riders showed fantastic sportsmanship and support for one another, while also demonstrating great care and partnership with their ponies. The team’s success marks an exciting start to the year for the Chinthurst equestrian team.
