Year 6 recently put their entrepreneurial skills to the test as they transformed bright ideas into thriving businesses as part of the school's Business Enterprise Project.

Throughout the project, the children experienced every stage of the business journey. From developing original product ideas and creating prototypes to budgeting, calculating profit margins, designing branding and planning marketing campaigns, they gained valuable insight into what it takes to run a successful business.

The project culminated in a lively marketplace on the Astro, where Year 6 unveiled their businesses to the rest of the school. With eye-catching displays, persuasive sales pitches and plenty of enthusiasm, the young entrepreneurs showcased the results of weeks of hard work as the children visited the stalls to browse and purchase their products.

Their businesses PegPets, Bobble Buddies, Loom Legends, Rock Mellows, Mystery Magnets and PomPop Shop all proved hugely popular, with each stall offering a unique range of handmade products. The marketplace was buzzing with excitement and provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to put their business plans into practice.

The Business Enterprise Project offered much more than an opportunity to sell products. It enabled the children to develop a wide range of real-world skills, including teamwork, creativity, financial planning, communication and problem-solving. It also encouraged resilience and adaptability as pupils refined their ideas, responded to customer demand and worked collaboratively to achieve their goals.

The event was a fantastic celebration of creativity, collaboration and enterprise, highlighting the enthusiasm, innovation and determination of Year 6. It also brought together the children from across the school, creating a memorable and inspiring morning for all involved.
