Sports Day brought the whole Chinthurst community together for a memorable day of sunshine, teamwork and friendly competition. With bunting fluttering overhead and excitement in the air, children, staff and families enjoyed a wonderful celebration of sport and House spirit.

The morning began with the Lower School Sports Day, as children from Reception to Year 2 took to the track with boundless energy. They competed in a range of events, including sprints, sack races, obstacle courses and beanbag relays, giving each challenge their very best effort. Cheers, high fives and words of encouragement rang out from the sidelines as the children proudly waved colourful House posters, they had designed themselves. Our Year 6 House Captains were fantastic role models, supporting and encouraging the younger children throughout the morning. Their results were carefully recorded, with the overall House champions to be decided once the Upper School events had taken place.

After lunch, it was the turn of the Upper School to showcase their sporting talents. Children from Years 3 to 6 competed in an exciting programme of track and field events, including high jump, javelin and a variety of running races. The House Tug of War brought out plenty of determination and teamwork, while the House Relays had spectators on their feet cheering. One of the highlights of the afternoon was undoubtedly the Year 6 versus Staff Relay, which provided plenty of laughter and entertainment for everyone watching.

Once all the scores had been counted, Pegasus were crowned overall Sports Day champions. Congratulations to every child for the enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork they demonstrated throughout the day.

A huge thank you goes to our dedicated Sports Team, Heads of House, Maintenance Team, teachers and staff for making the event such a success, and to our wonderful families who came along to cheer, clap and share in the celebrations. It was a fantastic day and a wonderful example of the Chinthurst community spirit in action.
