Nursery children impressed everyone with their energy, enthusiasm and sporting spirit at their much-anticipated Sports Day.

The children gathered beneath gazebos with their teachers and Year 5 helpers, ready for a morning of fun and friendly competition led by Mr Jacobs. The action began on the track with a 30-metre sprint, followed by an exciting hurdles race and a relay with a twist – balancing a beanbag on a tennis racquet and carefully passing it to their teammate without dropping it. The children rose to the challenge brilliantly and were cheered on every step of the way by teachers, classmates and proud parents.

The grand finale was the Superhero Obstacle Race, where the children stepped across logs, crawled through a tunnel and completed their training mission by rescuing Peppa Pig! After all their hard work, the nursery children enjoyed a well-earned picnic with their families. Delicious homemade cakes prepared by our wonderful catering team proved especially popular with parents, providing the perfect sweet ending to a memorable morning.

It was lovely to see the Year 5 helpers supporting their younger peers throughout the event – cheering from the sidelines, offering encouragement and lending a helping hand whenever needed. It was a shining example of the Chinthurst spirit in action.
