Chinthurst Parents’ Association

Our Parents’ Association is much more than a fundraising committee - it’s a vibrant, welcoming community of parents who create memorable experiences for our children, build lasting friendships among families and raise funds to enrich school life.

Making a Difference Together

The Chinthurst Parents’ Association (CPA) plays a vital role in the life of the school, organising a wide range of enjoyable events and initiatives throughout the year. Run entirely by dedicated parent volunteers, the CPA works closely with the school to support new opportunities, enhance facilities and create special moments for pupils and families alike.

The CPA warmly welcomes any parent who would like to get involved - whether that’s helping to set up and run events, attending meetings to help decide which projects to fund, donating auction prizes, or sharing fresh ideas for future initiatives.

The CPA Chair and Deputy Chair meet regularly with our Operations Manager to discuss equipment, facilities and experiences that would further enrich school life. The CPA committee then votes on which projects to support, ensuring that the funds raised have a meaningful and lasting impact on the children.

Fundraising Activities

There’s always an exciting fundraising event happening at Chinthurst to bring the whole community together and create lasting memories. From warming up with Joe Wicks before being showered in a rainbow of colour at our Colour Run, to choosing and decorating pumpkins at our pop-up Pumpkin Patch, there’s never a dull moment.

Families also enjoy spectacular laser light shows (complete with homemade hot apple crumble and every topping imaginable!), lively school discos where children dress as Minions or superheroes, and the magical Elfridges pop-up shop, where children do their own Christmas shopping at school.

Some of the CPA's much-loved events include:

  • Monthly Bake Sales
  • Nearly New Uniform Sales
  • Mufti Days
  • Children’s Discos
  • Pizza Nights
  • Quiz Nights
  • Pumpkin Patch
  • Laser Light Show

Staying in Touch

All CPA events are listed on our their dedicated CPA website - please visit the Events page regularly to see what’s coming up and how you can get involved. You can also browse and purchase from the online CPA Shop for your convenience.

The CPA communicates regularly via WhatsApp and Class Representatives and Classlist, so parents are encouraged to check notifications to stay up to date with important reminders and announcements.

As a volunteer-led organisation, the success of the CPA relies entirely on the support of our school community - and we are incredibly grateful for every helping hand.

If you would like to find out more about how you can support the CPA, or view current volunteer vacancies, please visit the CPA website or email Zoe Layzell-Rowe at [email protected].
