Our Houses
At Chinthurst, our four Houses are a key part of school life, bringing children together and helping to create a strong sense of community. Dragon in purple, Griffin in yellow, Pegasus in blue and Phoenix in red, each have their own proud identity, with children wearing their House colours and waving their flags with pride at events throughout the year. Through regular House assemblies, events and competitions, children feel part of something bigger, building friendships across year groups along the way.
The House System offers a wide range of opportunities, from charity fundraising and leadership roles to friendly competition. Highlights include:
- House Charity Events: Each House organizes its own special fundraising event.
- Sports & Competitions: Sports Day, inter-house matches, and swimming galas.
- Quizzes & Performing Arts: Fun academic challenges and creative arts competitions.
- Quest Day: Our much-anticipated year-end event filled with fun and active challenges for the whole school.
Each House is led by a Head of House and supported by our Year 6 House Captains, who take pride in developing and demonstrating their leadership skills. Children are encouraged to take part, support one another and enjoy everything their House has to offer.
