Educational Visits, Residentials and Visiting Speakers

Imagine climbing aboard a real fire engine in Reception, learning woodland survival skills on your first residential in Year 4, kayaking with friends in Year 5 and staying in a French château in Year 6. At Chinthurst, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Educational visits, residential adventures, visiting speakers and hands-on workshops spark curiosity, nurture confidence and create memories that last a lifetime. From Nursery to Year 6, every opportunity is carefully chosen to enrich the curriculum and help children develop independence, resilience and teamwork.

Bringing Learning to Life

Learning from Experts

Throughout the year, children benefit from an inspiring programme of visiting speakers, authors, performers, historians and scientists who spark new interests and broaden horizons. Travelling theatre companies and specialist visitors transport children back in time, bringing topics such as the Great Fire of London, the Romans, Vikings and Saxons vividly to life. Whether dressing up as Roman soldiers, handling replica artefacts, meeting Viking warriors or taking part in immersive performances, children are encouraged to ask questions, think creatively and fully immerse themselves in their learning.

My favourite memory of Chinthurst is one of the most amazing trips I have ever experienced: the French Trip! It was so much fun and really exciting. I made so many awesome memories that I know I will never forget.
